A Coke Drum is a type of pressure vessel that uses heat and pressure to refine complex hydrocarbons into lighter, more useful, products, such as gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel. Coke drums are an integral part of coker units and serve as the final step in the cracking process.

Thermal cracking process involves following a cycle of increase and decrease of drum temperature. The expected life of coke drum is about 10 year following the ideal operating process temperature cycle.

Due to the uncertainties in operation procedure like, rise in supply-demand, poor quality batch of Crude, inefficient performance of ancillary equipment in process line, the drum starts to deteriorate earlier than the expected time. Stopping cracking process and evaluation of coke drum is very expensive and requires both time and resources.

Objective :

  • Collection of minute wise thermocouple cycle data
  • Data preprocessing, cleaning, and filtering
  • Detailed study of cyclic data with actual operation process steps
  • Statistical visualisation and comparison of individual process steps with respective period of operations
  • Evaluation of critical affected parameters
  • Fatigue life evaluation with obtained parameters

HTML5 is a markup language used for structuring and presenting content on the World Wide Web. It is the fifth and last major HTML version that is a World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) recommendation. The current specification is known as the HTML Living Standard.

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a style sheet language used for describing the look and formatting of a document written in a markup language. CSS3 is a latest standard of css earlier versions(CSS2).

JavaScript (JS) is a lightweight, interpreted, or just-in-time compiled programming language with first-class functions. While it is most well-known as the scripting language for Web pages, many non-browser environments also use it, such as Node.js, Apache CouchDB and Adobe Acrobat.

Hosting the site :

Validation of second wave of COVID-19 across different countries in Europe from the available data sources.

Europe is witnessing a second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic, forcing many countries to impose fresh regulations in a bid to avoid return of full-blown lockdowns. As per the World Health Organisation, Europe is reporting more than 1.3 million new cases, and is under threat of further spikes in COVID cases during the upcoming winter season. Thus, most of the countries across the continent are imposing regulations in a move to ease pressure off their already strained healthcare services.

1. Proactive Detection of Pollution Hot Spots

There are many human and meteorological factors that affect the aerosol pollution in a particular geographical area e.g. wind, humidity, no of vehicles, no of dust producing industries, timings of heavy vehicle transportation etc. By doing a statistical evaluation of these factors over an extended period may help in taking proactive measures to remediate the pollution.

2. Customer behaviour targeted advertisements

Most of the large firms do an intensive statistical analysis of the customer behaviours so that customer centric adds and products can be published.

3. Improvement of Supply Chain .

Supply chain management is one of the fundamental challenges for any growing business. With enough of data set and proper statistical methods, optimised Supply Chain mechanisms can be formulated for business growth. Indigo airlines is one such example where these methods are used to minimize the operation costs of airplanes.

4. Human Resource Management

Human resource management is a key factor in the growth of both public and private sector organisations. With proper statistical methods implemented, an optimised framework for human – skill mapping can be formulated for better resource management.

5. Smart home appliances

With proper electricity usage data and operation cycle of home appliances, a smart data driven framework can be formulated for a smart auto optimised ecosystem of home appliances.
